The General Craft Group meets on the third Monday of every month at the Rowena Davey Day Centre from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. We are able to welcome new members at this time so please contact me if you are interested. The group is friendly and the meetings are very sociable.

The group does a variety of crafting activities. We welcome ideas for future projects from members and we like to keep the projects varied and interesting.

Past craft ideas we have enjoyed doing are making crepe roses, embroidering felt bookmarks, Dorset buttons, glass fusion, embroidering felt hearts, making a flower vase from an old book, Christmas craft ideas for tree ornaments, découpaging autumn leaves, glass painting, patchwork ideas using Aboriginal material - to name a few. We try to find activities that can be done in the two hours that we meet although this isn't always possible. We do have catch-up sessions to do just that!

The fees to cover the hall hire costs are £12 per term payable at the beginning of each term which equates to £3 per meeting. Fees will be pro rata for those joining later in the term. However payment will be due for missed weeks after joining because the hall hire fees will still be invoiced to us in full. Reductions may be made for special circumstances.
