Group Leaders Information

Groups are at the heart of u3a and are a great way of meeting like-minded people with shared interests. They are run by members for members, and some are about learning and passing on knowledge, whilst others have an emphasis on doing an activity whilst socialising. There is probably a little bit of all in each group.

If you want to join a group have a look and see what topics interest you from the list below. There you will find some information about the group including when they meet and if there is availability. If you decide that you would like to know more and are thinking of joining, contact the Group leader by clicking on their name. You can attend a group free from membership fees as a taster session if you want to check it out first.

If there is no group associated with your interest you can form your own group. It’s really quite easy! Contact me and talk it through. You will have plenty of help and guidance and your own Groups Support. We have over 500 members so there is a good chance that there will be others who want to join you.
