How to join as a new member
We welcome you as a new member of Dunmow u3a. To join Dunmow u3a please complete a Membership Application Form.

The form can be emailed or posted to the Membership Secretary. Alternatively, come along to one of our Monthly Meetings and speak to the Membership Secretary.
Individual Annual Membership Fee is £10.
Payment is accepted by Bank Transfer (Account details are on the form) or by cheque payable to Dunmow u3a and also cash at a Monthly Meeting. For Bank Transfer payments please enter your Surname and the word NEW in the Reference field.
If you join at a Monthly Meeting you will receive a pre-printed Membership Card. Otherwise you will be emailed a Membership Card for you to print or keep on your phone.

How to renew your membership
There are three methods for renewing your membership: on-line, which is our preferred option as it is more straightforward and less prone to mistakes, by bank transfer and by cash or cheque. This year the individual annual membership fee is £10.
On-line Renewal
We have introduced this process to assist our Membership Secretary in dealing with membership renewals. The process is only available to those with an email address. New users of this method should read all the instructions below to ensure success.
The online process enables you to pay by credit or debit card using PayPal either as a guest or with your personal PayPal account. After completing the payment you will be emailed a Membership Card for you to print or keep on your phone.
You first need to Register to use this process using the Members Portal. To access the Portal click or tap the button above to display the Dunmow u3a Members Portal. Ignore the E-mail box and click on "Register for a membership account". The Registration process is only required once, in future years you will only need to enter your E-mail address and Password which you created during the Registration process.
Important note: If you have Joint membership only one member should register as the member who has registered will be asked to pay for both members. Additionally, if only one member is eligible for Dunmow u3a to claim Gift Aid it is this member who should register and pay as we can claim Gift Aid for both members. If you do not wish to pay for the other member please contact the Membership Secretary.
On the screen displayed enter the following:
Membership number (on your membership card)
Forename
Surname
Postcode
E-mail
This must match the information we hold for you. Click on Confirm Identity and enter and confirm a password. After completing this process you will receive an email with a link which you need to respond to within 1 hour. After clicking the link in the email you will be returned to the Members Portal where you can enter your Email address and Password. On the next screen displayed select the option to renew your membership.
You will now be taken to PayPal where you can either login if you have a PayPal account or proceed to payment as a guest. You can use your credit or debit card for payment. To proceed as a guest, on the first PayPal screen displayed enter your email address and click "Pay by Debit or Credit Card". After entering your details and Card number then on the next screen click "Pay now as guest" and ensure that the box "Save information & create your PayPal account" is not checked and that the slider shown on the picture circled in red is set to the left. This is important.
After completing payment you will receive an email confirming your renewal and attached will be your membership card which you can print or keep on your phone.

Payment by Bank Transfer:
For Bank Transfer payments please fill in an application form and email or post it to the Membership Secretary. Our account details are to be found on the application form. Please use as the reference your surname and membership number, ensuring that the name in the Reference field matches that on the Application Form.
You will be emailed a Membership Card for you to print or keep on your phone.
Payment by Cheque or Cash:
For cheque payments please make payable to Dunmow u3a. Please write your Membership Number on the back of the cheque. You can post your cheque to the Membership Secretary but please enclose a Membership Application form with your Surname and Membership Number and include any changes to your details. You will be emailed a Membership Card for you to print or keep on your phone.
You can also pay by cheque or cash at one of our Monthly Meetings. You will be given a pre-printed Membership Card.
We no longer require a Membership Application Form if you renew at a Monthly Meeting.
Please notify our Membership Secretary regarding any changes to your details. This includes any change regarding our ability to claim Gift Aid on your behalf.
